Space: The New Frontier documentary to have narration by Chris Pine

Chris Pine, known especially for his role as Captain Kirk in the Star Trek reboot, will be the narrator for the new documentary, Space: The New Frontier, made by Definition Studios Australia in association with K2 Studios for Imax, Giant Screen and speciality theatres.

This documentary explores humanity's ongoing quest to conquer space. It follows the efforts of both established space agencies like NASA and daring private companies. Their combined efforts in space travel technology, from new launches to reusable rockets, and in space habitation, with projects like commercial space stations and NASA's moon missions, are bringing the dream of living and working in space closer to reality.

As per a report Deadline, Pine shared about the documentary, "I remember seeing these shows in IMAX when I was a kid, so to be a part of it is a real blessing and I can’t wait to inspire kids.”

Space: The New Frontier will be released in various formats, including 3D and 2D IMAX, Giant Screen and Dome theatres. Screenings will begin this month at the Kennedy Space Center, followed by other space museums, science centres and other cultural destinations around the world.

Meanwhile, Chris Pine was last seen in his directorial debut Poolman, a comedy-mystery film also starring Annette Bening, Danny DeVito and Jennifer Jason Leigh. He also had a voice role in Disney's Wish, in which he voiced the antagonist King Magnifico, opposite Ariana DeBose's protagonist, Asha.
