FX's limited series, Dying for Sex starring Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate in the lead, has added Rob Delaney, David Rasche and Esco Jouléy to the cast. Writers Liz Meriwether and Kim Rosenstock, Leslye Headland and 20th Television are the creators of the series.

This series, Dying for Sex, is based on the Wondery podcast. It follows Molly, played by Michelle Williams. After a shocking diagnosis of advanced breast cancer, Molly leaves her long-term husband and embarks on a journey of sexual exploration. Her best friend, Nikki (played by Jessica Slate), is a constant source of support throughout this emotional and life-changing experience.

Rob Delaney will be seen as Neighbour Guy, Molly's attractive neighbour. David Rasche takes on the role of Dr. Pankowitz, Molly's oncologist who seems more focused on medicine than patient comfort. Jouléy portrays Sonya, a fresh-faced social worker specializing in palliative care. Sonya becomes a source of encouragement and guidance for Molly as she navigates her illness.

Showrunners and executive producers include Meriwether and Rosenstock, along with Headland, who was initially supposed to helm the limited series but is no longer directing. Other executive producers include Nikki Boyer, host and co-creator of the Dying for Sex podcast, Meriwhether's longtime partner Katherine Pope, Wondery’s Jen Sargent, Marshall Lewy, Aaron Hart and Hernan Lopez.
