Jason Mamoa has confirmed that Warner Bros' Minecraft movie has wrapped filming. In a new behind-the-scenes image shared by the actor, we can see the lead actors celebrating the moment. Directed by Jared Hess, the upcoming film is an adaptation of the popular video game franchise of the same name.

In his Instagram, he wrote, "Minecraft we are wrapping all my aloha to my crew and cast. Unbelievable movie experience truly one of the greatest times of my life. Too many laughs. I love this country. AOTEAROA New Zealand you are magical. Mahalo for letting me film here."

The Minecraft movie cast also includes Jack Black, Emma Myers, Jennifer Coolidge, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement, with filming having seemingly started earlier this year.

While not much is known about the plot details the previously released synopsis described a story that will follow a teenage girl and her unlikely group of adventurers.

Warner Bros live-action Minecraft film was first announced in 2014. After several announced and missed release dates, the studio recently revealed the film's release date to be April 4, 2025.
