Samara Weaving and Karl Glusman headlined thriller, Eenie Meanie, has roped Kyanna Simone and Randall Park for supporting roles. A heist thriller from 20th Century Studios, the film comes from writer and director Shawn Simmons. The makers have kept the roles of these actors undisclosed.
Eenie Meanie focuses on Edie (Weaving), a woman with a past steeped in criminal activity as a teenage getaway driver. She is unexpectedly thrust back into that world when a former associate presents her with an opportunity to redeem her unreliable ex-boyfriend (Glusman), whose life hangs in the balance.
The project, backed by the filmmaking duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, known for their work on the Deadpool franchise, is anticipated to debut on the streaming platform Hulu.
Simone, seen in films like Project Power and Ma, recently wrapped filming for The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat, co-starring Uzo Aduba, Sanaa Lathan and Aunjanue Ellis. She is known for her role in HBO's The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, in which she essayed a young version of the character played by Oprah Winfrey.
Park, who recently made his feature directorial debut with Shortcomings, was last seen in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Totally Killer, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Strays. Next up, he has a voice role in Blue Eye Samurai and will also be seen in the animated series Among Us and The Residence, among other projects.
