The makers of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever pushed the release of the film forward by a week. As a result, the film from Lionsgate will hit theatres on November 8, 2024. The makers of the film changed the original release date to ensure that it has a greater chance of having a longer theatrical run during the holidays.
Director Dallas Jenkins' The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is based on a novel by Barbara Robinson of the same name, which tells the story of how misbehaving kids in a family take control of the annual Christmas pageant at their local church. The film stars Judy Greer, Elizabeth Tabish, Lauren Graham, Kirk BR Woller, and Pete Holmes in pivotal roles. Kevin Downes, Daryl Lefever, Andrew Erwin, Jon Erwin, Darin McDaniel, and Chet Thomas are producing the film.
The change means that Jake Kasdan’s Red One, with a Christmas theme and starring Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson, will face less competition as it is releasing on November 15 this year.
