Spider Man producer Amy Pascal admitted that she and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige did not know who Zendaya was before auditioning her for the MCU film.

Pascal told the Vogue magazine that Zendaya came to the audition with no make-up and dressed like a regular girl. She added that she and Feige were like they wanted to cast her for the movie as "she looked amazing."

Later knowing that Zendaya was a famous person Pascal said, " we felt really stupid."

Zendaya had starred in three Spider Man films: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home

The actress was last seen in Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two as Chani. She will next be seen in a romantic sports drama Challengers for which she turns a producer.

Challengers, which is produced by Zendaya along with Amy Pascal, Rachel O'Connor and Luca Guadagnino, follows Tashi (Zendaya), a former tennis prodigy turned coach, who is married to a champion on a losing streak. Her strategy for her husband's redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against his former best friend and Tashi's former boyfriend.

Challengers is written by Justin Kuritzkes and directed by Luca Guadagnino. Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor too play pivotal roles in the film. Music is done by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, besides Sayombhu Mukdeeprom and Marco Costa handled cinematography and edits respectively.

The film was released in Australia on March 26 while the premiere in the US is scheduled to take place on April 26.
