Succession star J Smith-Cameron has signed up for the third season of the comedy drama Hacks, according to a Variety report. She is appearing in more than one episode of the show, but her character details are still not revealed. She will act alongside Hannah Einbinder and Jean Smart in the series on Max. The rest of the new cast includes Paul W Downs, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Megan Stalter, Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Rose Abdoo, Lorenza Izzo, and Mark Indelicato. The previously disclosed cast includes Christina Hendricks, Helen Hunt, Dan Bucatinsky, Christopher Lloyd, George Wallace, Aristotle Athari, and Tony Goldwyn.
Smith-Cameron's Succession performance earned her more than one Golden Globe and Emmy award nomination. She is also known for Rectify, Waco: The Aftermath, Divorce, True Blood, The Year Between, Christine, Nancy, and Vengeance.
A Universal Television production, Hacks Season 3 will premiere on May 2 on Max with its first two episodes. The rest of the seven episodes will be aired in the coming days. It is set for a May 30 finale.
