In no way shape or form: Lizzo clarifies she is not quitting music

Singer Lizzo has issued a clarification that she will not be quitting music. She added the 'I Quit' she meant was "quitting giving any attention to negative energy."

She further said, "What I'm not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting to people, because I know I'm not alone. In no way shape or form am I the only person who is experiencing that negative voice that seems to be louder than the positive."

Her clarification comes at the backdrop of her earlier post which was understood to hint at her retirement from music.

Lizzo faced backlash online and offline after her performance at the fundraiser event for Joe Biden attended by former US president Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton.

She responded to the hate she received in her Instagram post, "felt tired over putting up with being dragged by everyone." She went on to write, "All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it. I'm constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views … being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look. My character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name. I didn't sign up for this shi*. I Quit."

Her post gave raise to speculations that she is quitting music altogether.
