Dead Boy Detectives trailer: Just two best friends who go about investigating and solving paranormal cases

The trailer for Netflix's upcoming series Dead Boy Detectives, was unveiled by the streaming platform on Wednesday. Based on the Vertigo comics by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, the series stars George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri.

Rexstrew and Revri play the role of best friends Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland who solve paranormal cases in Dead Boy Detectives. The trailer shows the duo waking souls from their deaths and solving mysteries. However, it is later established that the two have been dead once, and are now somehow cheating death.

Dead Boy Detectives will be part of the Sandman universe with the characters first introduced in the comics as early as the 1990s. Jenn Lyon, Briana Cuoco, Ruth Connell, Lukas Gage and David Iacono are also part of the cast, with Steve Yockey developing the series. Steve will also serve as the showrunner along with Beth Schwartz.

Dead Boy Detectives is slated to premiere on Netflix on April 25.
