We had previously reported that director Michael Showalter had teamed Amazon MGM once again for a holiday comedy film, Oh. What. Fun where actor Michelle Pfeiffer will play the lead role.

Michelle, who was recently seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, will portray Claire Clauster in Oh. What. Fun.

It has now been announced that actors Chloe Grace Moretz and Dominic Sessa will be joining the cast of the film.

The story, which is set to be a festive comedy adventure, centres on a woman named Claire Clauster (Pfeiffer), who organises a special Christmas outing, but her family forgets her in the shuffle. By the time they realise their mistake, she’s gone missing and their Christmas is in jeopardy. Luckily, nothing will stop Claire from giving her family the holiday they deserve.

Moretz recently starred in Amazon’s sci-fi thriller series The Peripheral as well as the sci-fi thriller Mother/Android directed by Mattson Tomlin.

Sessa earned recognition for his feature film debut in Alexander Payne’s coming-of-age film The Holdovers, opposite Paul Giamatti and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. He won the Best Supporting Actor at BAFTA awards and Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards.

Oh. What. Fun is based on a short story by Chandler Baker, who has written the film along with Showalter. The short story was originally published by Amazon Original Stories. Showalter and Jordana Mollick are producing via Semi Formal Productions, along with Berry Welsh and Jane Rosenthal of Tribeca Productions, and Kate Churchill. Baker will serve as executive producer of Oh. What. Fun. The team is planning a late-May production start in Atlanta. A release date for the same is yet to be announced.
