The Chair Company, a half-hour pilot comedy starring Tim Robinson, has been ordered by HBO. The comedy comes from Robinson and his writing partner Zach Kanin and is executive-produced by Hyperobject Industries, by Adam McKay and Todd Schulman.
Written and executive produced by Robinson and Kanin, The Chair Company will revolve around a man (Robinson), who takes upon an investigation into a far-reaching conspiracy, after an embarrassing incident at work.
The pilot order for The Chair Company by HBO comes shortly after the announcement of a pilot order for Rachel Sennott's comedy.
Robinson and Kanin have a long history of collaboration. They met writing for Saturday Night Live and went on to create two successful shows together: Detroiters for Comedy Central and the sketch comedy hit I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson for Netflix.
