First poster from Joker: Folie a Deux out

The official poster of Joker: Folie a Deux, featuring Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, was unveiled by the official Joker handle, on Tuesday. Along with the new poster, an announcement was also made that the trailer for the film will be unveiled on April 9.

Penned by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, the film will feature Arthur Fleck in Arkham Asylum where he falls in love with psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel, or Harley Quinn. Joker: Folie à Deux also stars Sophie Dumond, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey.

Joker: Folie a Deux is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios in association with Joint Effort. The film is a direct sequel to the 2019 film, Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role. Principal photography took place from December 2022 to April 2023 in places like Los Angeles, New York City, and Belleville, New Jersey.

It is to be noted that the original film, Joker, secured 11 Oscar nominations and won Best Actor to Phoenix and Best Original Score. Joker: Folie à Deux is slated to hit theatres on October 4, 2024.
