American actor Barbara Rush passes away at 97

Barbara Rush, best known for her Golden Globe-nominated role in 1953's It Came From Outer Space, passed away at the age of 97 the other day. Rush's daughter, Claudia Cowan, who works with Fox News, confirmed the news related to her mother's passing to the channel's digital wing.

“My wonderful mother passed away peacefully at 5:28 this evening. I was with her this morning and know she was waiting for me to return home safely to transition,” she told Fox News Digital. “It’s fitting she chose to leave on Easter as it was one of her favorite holidays and now, of course, Easter will have a deeper significance for me and my family.”

Rush also acted in projects such as Peyton Place7th Heaven, All My Children, The Young Philadelphians, Hombre, The Young Lions, and Robin and the 7 Hoods. Rush's co-stars included Marlon Brando, Rock Hudson, Richard Burton, and Frank Sinatra.
