Makers of Heart of Stone release Gal Gadot's new stills

Earlier, we reported that Tom Harper is directing the upcoming film Heart of Stone, starring Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan and Alia Bhatt, among others. Recently, the makers released brand-new images from the film, which features Gal as Rachel Stone, an M16 Agent.

In an exclusive interview with Weekly Entertainment, Tom Harper, speaking about Gal playing Rachel, said, “She is the only woman who stands between an ultra-mysterious, powerful, global, peace-keeping organization, the charter, and the loss of its most valuable - and dangerous - asset, the heart.”

Harper also speaks about the importance of crafting an action franchise around a female protagonist, and it was long overdue due to its rarity in the genre. “They [Gal and producers] wanted Rachel to be a character that wasn’t just a female actress playing a sort of male character, but a woman at the heart of it who was responding differently.” Heart of Stone will premiere on Netflix on August 11.

The film also stars Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighofer, Jing Lusi, Paul Ready, Jon Kortajarena, Archie Madekwe, Matteo Cicconi, Angela Esposito and Daniela T Nikolova.
