The trailer for the upcoming dark comedy-drama series, Obituary was unveiled. The series comes from the producer of the BBC's Wolf, for Hulu and RTÉ.
Obituary revolves around an obituary writer Elvira Clancy, who, although disatisfied about her job, adores it. Unfortunately, the newspaper starts facing losses, forcing her boss to cut her salary and pay her per obituary overnight. She then goes on to "accidentally" kill people, who thereby turn into obituaries.
Siobhán Cullen plays the lead in Obituary, along with Micheal Smiley, Ronan Raftery, Danielle Galligan and David Ganly. Set and filmed in Ireland, the upcoming dark comedy series will have six parts. Irish scriptwriter Ray Lawlor has written the script for Obituary, which is directed primarily by John Hayes, and secondarily by Oonagh Kearney. Nell Green is producing the series.
Ireland's Magamedia and Wolf Indie APC are producing the series. The series will be available to stream on RTÉ on September 26 and will premiere on Hulu later this year.
