Maestro gets a seven-minute standing ovation at Venice Film Festival

Actor-director Bradley Cooper's sophomore directorial Maestro was screened at the Venice Film Festival and received a seven-minute standing ovation by the audience.

The film had its world premiere at the festival. Jamie Bernstein, Alexander Bernstein and Nina Maria Felicia Bernstein, the musician's children, were also in attendance.

Bradley wrote the film along with Josh Singer. Also starring Carey Mulligan, Bradley plays the role of musician Leonard Bernstein. Maestro focuses on the musician's life and relationship with actor Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein, played by Carey Mulligan. The film will also chronicle their love story

Apart from Bradley and Carey, the film also features Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, Sarah Silverman, Josh Hamilton, Scott Ellis, Gideon Glick, Sam Nivola, Alexa Swinton, and Miriam Shor. Maestro will release in limited theatres on November 22 before making its streaming debut on Netflix on December 20.
