Amazon Prime Video released a trailer for the adult animated series Hazbin Hotel which also features a snippet of its new original song Happy Day in Hell.
Hazbin Hotel is set in the Pride Ring of Hell, dealing with a serious problem of overpopulation. It follows Charlie's mission to rehabilitate demons and prevent their extermination, with the help of her hotel and the mysterious Radio Demon, Alastor.
Sharing the trailer, the official X account of Hazbin Hotel wrote, "This January, join us for a happy day in Hell!"
Based on the popular 2019 pilot by Vivienne Medrano aka VivziePop, Hazbin Hotel follows the unexpectedly upbeat Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen), princess of Hell. Unfortunately, Hell is dealing with an overpopulation issue, prompting Charlie to open a hotel aimed at rehabilitating her guests.
Ideally, the hotel will reform them enough that upon checking out they'll be admitted straight to Heaven. Realistically, it probably won't go so smoothly.
Hazbin Hotel will also feature the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Keith David, Alex Brightman, Kimiko Glenn, Joel Perez, and Christian Borle.
The show is created by Vivienne Medrano in partnership with A24 and Bento Box Entertainment.
The first season which will land on Prime Video on January 2024, is reportedly said to have eight episodes.
