Mad Max spinoff Furiosa to premiere at Cannes 2024

We had earlier reported that Anya Taylor-Joy will be starring in George Miller’s Furiosa, a spinoff of the 2015 dystopian film Mad Max: Fury Road. Now, as per reports, the makers are eyeing for a 2024 Cannes Film Festival premiere.

In Furiosa, Anya will be playing the role once portrayed by Charlize Theron and will explore the earlier life of the character. Chris Hemsworth will also be starring in the film as Immortan Joe, once played by Hugh Keays-Byrne.

Others part of the cast include Tom Burke, and Nathan Jones. The film is directed by George Miller. Furiosa is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 24, 2024.
