The trailer of Apple TV+ upcoming series The Buccaneers were unveiled by the streamer recently. The eight-episode drama is inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton’s unfinished final novel of the same name.

The series is created by Katherine Jakeways. The Buccaneers will premiere on Apple TV+ with first three episodes on November 8, followed by new episodes weekly. It will revolve around a group of young American girls who break into the stiff culture of the London in the 1870s, bringing a breath of fresh air, sidelining the age-old traditions.

The trailer has singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo’s All-American bitch track along with Miya Folick’s recent single What We Wanna. Even as the series is set in the 1870s British era, The Buccaneers will feature modern soundtrack produced by Stella Mozgawa, along with songs by Taylor Swift, Maggie Rogers, Bikini Kill, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Angel Olsen, Brandi Carlile. The original music is scored by Folick, Lucius, Alison Mosshart, Warpaint, Gracie Abrams, Sharon Van Etten, Bully, Danielle Ponder and more.

The Buccaneers stars Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen and Mia Threapleton, among others. The series boasts an all-women team with Katherine Jakeways serving as the writer and Susanna White at the helm

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by The Forge Entertainment.
