Paramount+ has decided not to renew iCarly for a fourth season.

“The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together,” said a Paramount+ spokesperson. “We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity and talent.”

News of the show’s demise began to leak when cast member Laci Mosley declared to her followers on X (formerly known as Twitter), “It’s cancelled, babes,” before adding in the comments that she’s “heartbroken.”

Ordered in 2020, the rebooted series picked up with adult Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove), 10 years older, as she reunited with her brother Spencer (Jerry Trainer) and longtime friend and cameraman Freddie (Nathan Kress), and sets out to revamp her popular web show with the help of old and new friends. Laci Mosley joined the original cast as Carly’s new friend, Harper, along with Jaidyn Triplett, who portrayed Freddie’s stepdaughter Millicent.

iCarly starred Miranda Cosgrove as influencer Carly Shay, Jerry Trainor as Carly’s brother Spencer, Nathan Kress as Carly’s producer-turned-boyfriend Freddie, Laci Mosley as Carly’s roommate Harper and Jaidyn Triplett as Freddie’s daughter Millicent.
