Actors Skyler Gisondo and Sara Sampaio are expected to play the roles of Jimmy Olsen and Eve Teschmacher respectively in the upcoming film Superman: Legacy helmed by James Gunn.
Jimmy's character was first introduced in radio show Superman in 1940 and is the human close friend of Superman. The role had its own comic book called Superman's pal, Jimmy Olsen. On the other hand, Eve appeared in 1978's Superman film.
Others who are part of the film include David Corenswet playing the lead titular role, Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho) and María Gabriela de Faría (the Engineer). Nicholas Hoult expected to play Lex Luthor in Superman: Legacy.
Slated for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025, Superman: Legacy has script by James. The film will be the first of the new DC Universe projects announced under James and Peter Safran's leadership and will be a part of Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.
