Director Thomas Ikimi who directed the film 88, is set to write a new drama about wildlife preservationist and activist Jamie Joseph. The film is titled Manaka

Jamie Joseph is the founder of Saving the Wild, a charitable organisation for protecting rhinos from poachers. The film will be backed by Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara under LuckyChap banner, along with Anthony Mastromauro and Charles Randolph.

"It’s an honor to be working on a project of such importance to Africa. The complex rhino poaching crisis exposes wider ramifications, not only for South Africa, but for the entire continent. The issue is far deeper than a quest for rhino horn," the director was quoted as saying by Variety.
