We had earlier reported that Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega will be starring in the upcoming film Death of a Unicorn. The additional cast members are now revealed to be Will Poulter, Anthony Carrigan, and Téa Leoni.
Apart from them, the black comedy will also feature Richard Grant, Sunita Mani, Jessica Hynes, and Stephen Park.
In the film, Paul and Jenna will play a father and daughter who will hit a unicorn while going on a car. However, when the father's boss and billionaire sets his eyes on the creature and its supposed healing powers, the fates of the characters change tracks.
Death of a Unicorn, which is attached to A24 Studio, is written and directed by Alex Scharfman, marking his directorial debut in helming feature films. The film is backed by Alex, Drew Houpt and Lucas Joaquin under Secret Engine banner, Tyler Campellone and Lars Knudsen of Square Peg, Tim Headington and Theresa Steele Page of Ley Line Entertainment.
With Ari Aster, Michael Williams, Jacob Epstein, David Darby, Nate Kamiya, Paul and Jenna serving as executive producers, the film will have music by John Carpenter along with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.
The shooting has been wrapped up and a release date is yet to be announced.
