
Indie horror expert and writer-director Rob Grant's This Too Shall Pass has added Maxwell Jenkins, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Katie Douglas to its cast in lead roles. The film is billed to be a coming-of-age drama.
The shooting for the film with an ensemble cast is set to begin in Calgary next month. Ben Cockell, Jaylin Webb, Aidan Laprete, Nikki Roumel and Chris Sandiford, round out the cast of This Too Shall Pass.
Revolving around a 16-year-old Simon, This Too Shall Pass will be set in 1987 in Syracuse, New York. Suffocated by his strict Mormon upbringing, Simon decides to skip town with his friends. In an attempt to rebel he travels for a weekend in Canada with friends. However, he sees events that further make Simon question his religious and personal beliefs.
Ellis of Eclipse Management & Entertainment and musician Michael Baker of Head Fake will executive produce, with casting by Coco Kleppinger.
