The trailer features a group of black friends caught in the middle of a killer’s mind games. It shows how the characters will tackle different horror tropes in their own clever ways.

The Blackening features Dewayne Perkins, Yvonne Orji, Jay Pharaoh, Grace Byers, Jermaine Fowler, X Mayo, Sinqua Walls, Melvin Gregg, and Antoinette Robertson.
Directed by Tim Story and distributed by Lionsgate, The Blackening first premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival on September 16, and now the film is set to hit the theaters on June 16.
