Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in talks for Freaky Friday sequel 

Actors Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are in talks to reunite for the sequel to 2003 American fantasy comedy film Freaky Friday, with the project in works at Disney. The actors are said to resume their roles as mother and daughter Anna and Tess Coleman.

Elyse Hollander is expected to write the script. Directed by Mark Waters, the 2003 film followed a mother and daughter duo waking up on a Friday only to realize that they have been swapped with their bodies.

Freaky Friday is based on the 1972 novel Mary Rodgers’ novel by the same name and was adapted twice for screen. However speculations circulated that the sequel to the 2003 film after Curtis posted a photo alongside Lohan in February and captioned, "It's Friday. I'm just sayin! Freaky fingers crossed!"

Curtis also said “It's going to happen," during an interview with Variety at the Producers Guild Awards. "Without saying there's anything officially happening, I'm looking at you in this moment and saying, 'Of course it's going to happen.' It's going to happen."

"Jamie and I are both open to that, so we're leaving it in the hands that be. We would only make something that people would absolutely adore,” Lohan was quoted as saying.
