

Disney+ unveiled the trailer of its upcoming animated anthology series Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire. The anthology will celebrate the Black culture in different parts of Africa. The trailer was unveiled at the Annecy Festival 2023.
Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire will stream on July 5.
"We are bringing the work of a visionary new generation of African filmmakers to Disney+. In addition to delivering thrilling animation for fans of all ages, this collection of ten original films taps into the Afrofuturism phenomenon which was turbo-charged by Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ and reflects Disney’s ongoing commitment to partnering with leading global talent to tell the stories of the world from fresh and authentic points of view," Disney+’s streaming president Michael Paull was quoted as saying
The anthology will feature stories coming from creators from different parts of Africa, including Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda. It will feature 10 stories that will range from sci-fi to fantasy, weaving in the culture of the places.
Peter Ramsey will serve as the executive producer along with Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston. The 10 stories and directors include Stardust (Ahmed Teilab), Mkhuzi The Spirit Racer (Simangaliso Sibaya and Malcom Wope), Hatima (Terence Maluleke and Isaac Mogajane), Enkai (Ng’endo Mukii), Moremi ( Shofela Coker), Surf Sangoma (Nthato Mokgata and Catherine Green), Mukudzei (Pious Nyenyewa & Tafadzwa Hove), First Totem Problems (Tshepo Moche), herderboy (Raymond Malinga), and You Give Me Heart ( Lesego Vorster).
