Actor Bryce Dallas Howard heaps praise on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Actor Bryce Dallas Howard, who essayed the role of Gwen Stacy in Sam Raimi's directorial Spider-Man 3, praised the recently released film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The Jurassic World actor, who recently caught the film with her father and acclaimed director Ron Howard, wrote on her Twitter handle," As a former Gwen Stacy, can I just say: RUN DON’T WALK to see “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”! Bravo to the entire creative team! An astonishing film on every level. My pops and I are already itching for the next! Congrats. 

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the sequel of the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The sequel, released on June 1 this week, is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson and is penned by Phil Lord along with Christopher Miller and David Callaham. 

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse opened to a wide reception, "Sequels to such widely appreciated films usually crumble under the weight of expectations. The anxiety to go bigger in scale, faster in rhythm, and higher in stakes are usually conspicuous in sequels. While Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse does strive to push past the scope and scale of the first film, it does so with meditative confidence." reads the CE review of the film. 

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse features an ensemble voice cast, including Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac. 

Meanwhile, Bryce Dallas Howard is best known for her character Claire Dearing in the Jurassic World film series. The actor's other feature credits include As You Like It, The Help and Rocketman, among others.
