Here's the new trailer of Blue Beetle 

The new trailer of DC's upcoming superhero film Blue Beetle was released on Wednesday. Directed by Angel Manuel Soto, The film features Xolo Maridueña, who is best known for appearing in the Karate Kid spinoff series Cobra Kai as the eponymous character.

The film's official logline read," Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armour capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero Blue Beetle."

Blue Beetle is a DC comics superhero that Keith Giffen, John Rogers, and Cully Hamner created. Although the character has been present in other comic books since 1939, the DC Comics version of the Blue Beetle first appeared in the Infinite Crisis' 3rd issue in 2006. Blue Beetle is also a member of Teen Titans and the Justice League.

Based on the script written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, the film also stars an ensemble cast including Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, George Lopez, Elpidia Carrillo, Raoul Trujillo, Damián Alcázar, and Susan Sarandon.

 Blue Beetle will hit the theatres on August 18.
