Neon has landed the North American rights for the upcoming Michael Mann biopic, Ferrari. The film is slated for a Christmas 2023 release and is reportedly set to debut at Venice Film Festival. The film may also possibly have an awards season and film festival run. 

Set in 1957, Ferrari follows Enzo Ferrari’s life during the events of the 1,000-mile Mille Miglia race. Ten years after building his company from scratch, Ferrari faces bankruptcy and must win back his fortunes and prove himself as a businessman and a race car entrepreneur by winning the race.

Known for making films like Heat, Collateral, and Ali, the director Mann is also producing the film under his banner Moto Pictures. Apart from Adam Driver in the lead as Enzo Ferrari and Penélope Cruz as Laura Ferrari, the film also stars Shailene Woodley, Jack O’Connell, Sarah Gadon, Patrick Dempsey and Gabriel Leone.
