Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to the 2019 film Joker, has been in the spotlight since the film's announcement. Featuring Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, the hype for the upcoming film keeps escalating with every new information that surfaces online, including the images.
Two new stills from the upcoming sequel, featuring Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix were released by the makers recently. While in one photo we see Joaquin Phoenix locked behind bars, in the second photo, we can see Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn looking at the Joker with awe.
Earlier, Todd Phillips, the helmer of the film, released a photo featuring Joaquin Phoenix drenched in the rain and surrounded by people with colourful umbrellas.
Penned by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, the film will feature Arthur Fleck in Arkham Asylum where he falls in love with psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel, or Harley Quinn. Joker: Folie à Deux also stars Sophie Dumond, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey
It is to be noted that the original film, Joker, secured 11 Oscar nominations and won Best Actor to Phoenix and Best Original Score. Joker: Folie à Deux is slated to hit theatres on October 4, 2024.
