Lionsgate, the makers of Saw X, announced the film's sequel on Monday. Titled Saw XI, the announcement also came along with the release date. The upcoming film is slated to hit the big screens on September 27, 2024.

The makers made the announcement with a very interesting poster. With a spooky background, the poster had the release date mentioned in Roman Numerals, with the letters XI highlighted in red, referring to the upcoming film's title. Further, the poster also had the tagline, "The Game Continues."

Saw X, the latest film in the franchise hit theatres just two months ago on September 29. The sequel has a production period of less than a year. However, it is important to note that every Saw sequel has been released precisely one year after its predecessor, so far.

Saw X is helmed by Kevin Greutart and features an ensemble including Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Synnove Lund, Steven Brand, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Octavia Hinojosa, Joshua Okamoto, and Michael Beach.

The official logline of Saw X reads, "A sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps."

More details about the plot and cast of Saw XI are awaited.
