Will Smith to return for I Am Legend 2

It was earlier reported that a sequel to the 2007 post-apocalyptic film I Am Legend is in the works. It was also revealed that Creed-fame Michael B Jordan will be headlining the film. 

Now, the star of the original film, Will Smith, has revealed that he will be appearing in the sequel as well. While Smith's character in the original died in the theatrical version, an alternate ending where he lives, was revealed in the DVD version. 

Will Smith has now revealed that they will be going with the alternate ending for the sequel, essentially resurrecting his character.

Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the Richard Matheson novel for the original film, will be returning to adapt the sequel.

On the other hand, Will Smith will also be appearing in Bad Boys 4 next year alongside Martin Lawrence. While an official confirmation has not been revealed yet,  Michael B Jordan is also set to return for a fourth Creed film.
