

The trailer of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, the upcoming sequel of Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), was unveiled by Warner Bros on Sunday.
The official logline of the upcoming film reads, "The film follows an all-new adventure that pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence—and our own. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever."
The upcoming film will be directed by Adam Wingard, who also directed the 2021 film Godzilla vs Kong. Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, and Rachel House are confirmed to join the franchise with the upcoming film while Rebecca Hall, Bryan Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle are confirmed to reprise their roles from the 2021 film.
Legendary Pictures is backing Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire with Warner Bros. Pictures as the distributor. While the film was initially slated to hit theatres on March 15, 2024, it is now pushed to April 12.
