The Lincoln Lawyer renewed for season 3 on Netflix

Netflix has announced that the legal drama series The Lincoln Lawyer will be returning for a third season.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will reprise his role of Mickey Haller, the criminal-defence lawyer, in the show, created by David E Kelley of Big Little Lies fame.

The third season will consist of 10 episodes and will be based on the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Gods of Guilt.

The show follows Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) “an iconoclastic idealist, [who] runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.”

Among the cast members who will reprise their roles are Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco) and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea Freemann).

One notable name not returning as a regular: Neve Campbell, who had a diminished role in the second season and whose character accepted a new job in a different city in the finale. Campbell’s character was not part of Connelly’s fifth book, though sources say the door is open for the character to return in future seasons.

Showrunners and co-executive producers Dailyn Rodriguez and Ted Humphrey will also be back for the next chapter. Also back as executive producers: David E. Kelley, Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, and Tana Jamieson.
