Netflix has announced a new upcoming limited series titled Toxic Town. The series is based on real life events of Corby toxic waste events that took place in 2009.

The series stars Aimee Lou Wood and Jodie Whittaker in prominent roles. The series will tell the story of toxic waste spills that took place in Corby and the following legal battle that took place. Toxic Town will consist of four episodes and be backed by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones. The production began in the UK this month.

Others part of the cast include Robert Carlyle, Rory Kinnear, Brendan Coyle among others. Jack Thorne will serve as the writer. The series will detail the story of the poisonings as well as the legal battle fought by three mothers, seeking justice. While a release date for the series is yet to be announced, due to the ongoing US labour strikes.
