The Hunt For Veerappan- Netflix- August 4
The upcoming biographical true-crime docu-series will surround around the infamous bandit Veerappan, who operated in the forests of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. The Hunt For Veerappan is directed by first-time docu director Selvamani Selvaraj, with the series backed by Apoorva Bakshi and Monisha Thyagarajan of Awedacious Originals. The series will throw light on the various aspects of the bandit's life while unveiling accounts from those closest to him.
Dayaa- Disney+ Hotstar-August 4
This Telugu series is helmed by Pavan Sadineni and stars Ramya Nambeesan, JD Chakravarthi, Eesha Rebba among others. The series is a murder mystery with a supporting cast including Babloo Prithiveeraj, Vishnupriyaa Bhimeneni, Ravi Josh, Mayank Parakh, and Nandagopal. With dialogues from Rakendu Mouli, the series has an additional screenplay by Pavan Sadineni and Vasant Jurru.
Heartstopper S2- Netflix- August 3
The second season of Heartstopper will follow the lives of Nick and Charlie, as they embark on a romantic relationship unapologetically. This part will also shows the growing relationship between Tao and Elle, as the teens take a trip to Paris. The series is adapted from the web comic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman. The cast comprises of Kit Connor, Joe Locke, William Gao Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Fisayo Akinade, Leila Khan, among others.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2: Part 2
The second part of The Lincoln Lawyer season two stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the central role. The series follows the adventures of a crooked lawyer who uses his car as an office for his clients. It is inspired from the novel of the same name, penned by Michael Connelly. The first season revolved around a homicide investigation, while the second season will expand the lead role using his fame to expand his business, while having a new love interest.
The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart- Prime Video- August 4
The Prime Video original series is an adaptation of Australian Holly Ringland’s international best-selling book. The series stars Sigourney Weaver, Asher Keddie, Leah Purcell, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frankie Adams and Sebastián Zurita. The series consists of seven parts will revolve around Alice Hart, who at the age of nine lost her parents to a mysterious fire. As she is taken to live with her grandmother June at Thornfield flower farm, she learns that there are secrets within secrets about her and her family’s past. Set against Australia, the family drama spans across decades. As she grows from her complicated past, Alice's journey builds to an emotional climax when she finds herself fighting for her life against a man she loves.
