Stan Lee documentary to debut at Tribeca Film Festival

We had earlier reported that a documentary on Stan Lee is in the making at Marvel Entertainment. The makers have now announced that it will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival 2023 and will begin streaming on Disney+ from June 16.

Stan Lee had co-created some of the iconic characters of the Marvel cinematic universe like Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, Black Panther, to name a few. After retiring from Marvel in the 1990s, Stan Lee continued to make cameo appearances in Marvel films and was also given the credits of an executive producer. He died on November 12, 2018 at the age of 95.

The feature-length documentary sets out to celebrate 100 years of Stan Lee, right from journeying his early days of upbringing in New York, to his rise in Marvel Comics. The documentary is directed by David Gelb. It is executive produced by Jason Sterman, David Gelb, Brian McGinn, Jeff Redmond, Andy Heyward, Gil Campion, Jamie McBriety, Sarah Regan, Lauren Goralski, and Andrew McAllister.
