Netflix sets premiere date for All the Light We Cannot See

Netflix has set a release date for All The Light We Cannot See, a limited series based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name by Anthony Doerr. The series is all set to premier on the streamer on November 2. 

Netflix made the announcement along with a teaser for the four-episode limited series. The story revolves around Marie-Laure, a teenager who is blind, and Werner, a German soldier, whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.

Aria Mia Loberti, a visually impaired actor, plays the role of Marie-Laure. Mark Ruffalo plays Marie-Laure's father, Daniel LeBlanc, the principal locksmith at the Museum of Natural History in Paris. 

Hugh Laurie will be seen as Etienne LeBlanc, an eccentric and reclusive World War I hero suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A nervous shut-in, LeBlanc records clandestine radio broadcasts as part of the French Resistance.

The Netflix series is directed by Shawn Levy, and written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. Levy's 21 Laps Entertainment, known for their work in Stranger Things, will back this limited series.
