Ethan Coen's solo directorial debut titled Drive-Away Dolls

The long-awaited solo directorial debut of Ethan Coen has been titled Drive-Away Dolls. The film is slated for theatrical release on September 22 this year. The film marks Coen's first directorial feature without the collaboration of Joel Coen, his brother. 

Drive-Away Dolls will revolve around Jamie who embarks on a road journey to Tallahassee with her straight friend Marian. They encounter a group of amateur criminals en route who create complications on their journey. 

Drive-Away Dolls will star Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein,  Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo, Bill Camp and Matt Damon. Coen and his wife, Tricia Cooke have penned the script for the film. 

Ethan Coen and Joel Coen have won Best Original Screenplay Oscars for Fargo and Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for No Country For Old Men. Recently, the directorial duo helmed The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Joel then directed his solo project, The Tragedy of Macbeth.
