Donald Glover confirms he will return for the Community movie

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the makers of the comedy series Community are planning to make a film to wrap up the story. While the creator Justin Roiland and most of the principal cast have confirmed that they will return for the film, Donald Glover did not comment on the development of the film.

Donald Glover, who plays Troy Barnes in the series, has finally broken silence on the issue. He said, “The Community movie, there’s some progress on it. We’re supposed to be shooting it soon. Haven’t seen a script. In true Dan (Harmon) fashion, will probably get it on the first day. But yeah, it’s supposed to be happening. I know just as much about it as you do.”

While the sixth season was released in  2015, the push to continue the story in the feature-length format was still going strong. The cast of the series includes Joel McHale, Donald Glover, Yvette Nicole Brown, Chevy Chase, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, and Jim Rash. It is unclear at the moment whether veteran comedian/actor Chevy Chase will reprise his role in the film
