Ian McShane to reprise his John Wick role in Ana de Armas-led spinoff Ballerina
Keanu Reeves, who leads the John Wick film series, will reportedly reprise his role as the assassin in Ballerina
Ian McShane, who played the manager of The Continental in the John Wick film series, will reportedly reprise his role in the upcoming spin-off film. The film, being developed by Lionsgate is titled Ballerina and has No Time to Die fame Ana de Armas in the lead role.
The film revolves around a ballerina school that doubles as an orphanage and training ground for assassins, it was first introduced in the third film John Wick: Parabellum. It was recently announced that the film has started its production in Prague. Another John Wick spinoff, a series titled The Continental, which takes place around the hotel for assassins from the John Wick series, is also currently under production.
Keanu Reeves, who leads the John Wick film series, will reportedly reprise his role as the assassin in Ballerina. Len Wiseman, best known for the Underworld film series, is directing the film based on a script written by Shay Hatten. Hatten is also writing the script for John Wick: Chapter 4 which is currently under production. While the makers are yet to confirm a release date, the film is expected to release during the latter half of 2023.
