Simon Rex joins cast of Zoe Kravitz's directorial debut Pussy Islands

Red Rocket-star Simon Rex has joined the cast of actor Zoe Kravitz's debut directorial feature Pussy Island. Rex will star alongside Channing Tatum and Naomi Ackie in the film.

Kravitz has also written the script of Pussy Island, along with ET Feigenbaum. As per the log, the film follows Frida (Ackie), a young, Los Angeles cocktail waiter who develops an interest in philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum). She skillfully manoeuvres her way into King’s inner circle and ultimately into an intimate gathering on his private island. However, despite the epic setting, beautiful people, ever-flowing champagne and late-night dance parties, Frida senses that there’s more to the island than meets the eye. Something she can’t quite put her finger on, and something terrifying.

Bruce Cohen, Kravitz, Tiffany Persons and Tatum’s Free Association will produce the film. Pussy Island is a co-production between This Is Important, Free Association and Bruce Cohen Productions.

Rex is known for his recurring role in the drama series Felicity and for his roles in Jack & Jill and What I Like About You. His film credits include Scary Movie 3, Superhero Movie, and Red Rocket. He will soon be seen in Providence opposite Lily James and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and in National Anthem, alongside Sydney Sweeney and Halsey.
