The Continental, a prequel series of John Wick is currently underway and a new line-up of the cast has reportedly come on board according to reports on Deadline. 

In addition to the old cast members Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate, and Ben Robson, the series will also see Katie McGrath, Ray McKinnon, Adam Shapiro, Mark Musashi, and Marina Mazepa play pivotal roles in the series. The prequel series was originally announced in 2017 by Starz and it is expected to be a three-night series. 

John Wick stars Keanu Reeves. He is an assassin who is out for revenge against those who had killed his dog. During his journey, the audience is introduced to the Continental Hotel, which is a safe haven for assassins. The only rule inside this hotel run by Winston (Ian McShane) is no killing.

The prequel picks up decades in the past and it will tell Winston's story, who in the series will be portrayed by Woodell. The prequel is set in gritty 1970s New York City as he takes on the Big Apple one guest at a time.
