The actor passed away at a Florida hospital after a brief illness

Hollywood actor Ronan Vibert, known for playing roles like Diarmuid Russell in Saving Mr Banks, Giovanni Sforza in The Borgias and Perry Cline in Hatfields & McCoys, has died at 58. The actor passed away at a Florida hospital after a brief illness, his manager Sharon Vitro told The Hollywood Reporter without specifying the exact nature of the illness. 

In recent times, Vibert was seen in web series like Carnival Row, Penny Dreadful, Rome and Waking the Dead. The actor rose to fame after playing important roles in 1989’s acclaimed British miniseries Traffik and Steven Soderbergh’s Oscar-winning 2000 film Traffic. Other prominent works of Vibert include series such as Birds of a Feather, Lovejoy, The Buccaneers and Gimme Gimme Gimme, and films like Shadow of the Vampire (2000), The Cat’s Meow (2001), The Pianist (2002) and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). 

Survivors include his wife, Jess Grand Vibert.
