While Netflix had announced the sequel to The Gray Man, actor Dhanush, who recently made his Hollywood debut with this film,  has reiterated the plan now, hinting that the spin-off would also feature his character Lone Wolf.

In an audio note posted on Twitter on Saturday, Lone Wolf is heard addressing Sierra Six (Rayn Gosling). Noting that both of them are looking for the same man, Lone Wolf warns Six to drop the plan.
Dhanush wrote, "The Gray Man universe is expanding and the sequel is coming… Lone Wolf is ready, are you?"

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film starring Ryan Gosling in the titular role premiered on Netflix on July 22.

About the sequel, the Russo Brothers said in a statement, "The audience reaction to The Gray Man has been nothing short of phenomenal. With so many amazing characters in the movie, we had always intended for The Gray Man to be part of an expanded universe, and we are thrilled that Netflix is announcing a sequel with Ryan, as well as a second script that we’re excited to talk about soon.” Futher details about the spin-off are currently under tight wraps.
