Jeff Loveness, known for writing episodes of the adult animation show Rick & Morty, is reportedly signed on to write Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. This is not the first time the writer is working on a Marvel project, he had already worked on the script for the soon-to-be-released Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
The third instalment of the Ant-Man film series, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily in the lead, has already wrapped up principal photography and is now currently going through post-production stages. Peyton Reed, who had worked on the past two Ant-Man films, is directing the third film based on a script written by Jeff Loveness.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty continues Marvel’s ensemble superhero saga with a new set of Avengers post the events of the Infinity War Saga. The plans for the film were unveiled along with a plethora of exciting announcements at Marvel’s panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, which happened in July.
Although the plot of the film was not revealed at Comic-Con, it was however confirmed that Jonathan Majors will play Kang the Conqueror, the big bad of the upcoming Avengers trilogy. The film will be directed by Shang Chi fame Destin Daniel Cretton. The film is currently scheduled to release on 5 May 2025.
