

Shelley Duvall, best known for appearing in the 1980’s horror classic The Shining, is reportedly all set to return to acting after two decades of absence. She will be seen in the upcoming indie horror-thriller titled The Forest Hills, which is written and directed by Scott Goldberg. Goldberg is known for directing a number of short films and documentaries.
The official synopsis for the film reads, “A man is tormented by nightmarish visions after enduring head trauma while camping in the Catskill woods.” The cast of the film also includes Edward Furlong, Chiko Mendez, and Dee Wallace. The first look at Duvall’s character from the film has been released online. She plays the mother of Chico Mendez’s character Rico, a mentally challenged man who is guided by the voices of his mother.
Apart from playing the female lead in The Shining, she’s also acted in films like Popeye, Time Bandits, Roxanne, The Portrait of a Lady Thieves Like Us, Nashville, Annie Hall, and Three Women. Apart from enjoying an extensive acting career, she’s also known for writing and producing. Duvall has won a number of awards including the Cannes Film Festival Award and a Peabody Award. She was also nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and a British Academy Film Award.
