The second season of the Apple TV+ original series Severance has started filming. According to reports, the cast and crew of the series are scheduled to work until May 2023 on the upcoming season. The series premiered its first episode on 18 February 2022 and ended its nine-season run on 8 April. With the filming expected to take place until May of next year, the series is not expected to return for at least a year.

The second season is currently expected to release sometime in October 2023. The series is created by Dan Erickson for Apple TV+ while the episodes are directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle. The series stars an ensemble cast that includes Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Dichen Lachman, Michael Chernus, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette.

The sci-fi series revolves around a company called Lumon Industries which introduces a severance program that separates work memories from personal memories for their employees. One employee by the name of Marc Scout, played by Adam Scott, uncovers a web of controversy plaguing the inner circle of the organisation.

The series received 14 nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards including for Outstanding Drama series along with several acting nominations.
