Lily-Rose Depp is reportedly replacing Anya Taylor Joy in the upcoming remake of the 1922 film Nosferatu. The film is directed by Robert Eggers, who is known for slow burn Indie horror films like The Northman, The Lighthouse, and The Witch.

The 1992 silent film, directed by German director F W Murnau, is a reimagining of Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula which popularised the vampire myth. Set in the Victorian era, It tells the story of a thousand-year-old demon-like creature that feeds off of human blood and a young couple who end up getting hunted down by the creature.

While Bram Stoker’s Dracula follows a vampiric count, with a similar thirst for blood, and ends up falling in love with a young girl, Nosferatu does not follow the romance angle. However, Eggers’s remake might take some liberties with the source material.
